I have quite a situation!!!

I just got out of a relationship with a great girl, just we had very different intrests (nothing bad) that became very apparent after the first date. I'm homeschooled so dating can be hard sometimes (I used to go to regular school but the schools in my area are not good (FL)) anyways, i'm in a confirmation class with her and we are still great friends, but last night I had a dream about her freind that I don't know too much about but I really enjoy her company. my problem is that i don't know her phone #( i do have her mom's cell but how wierd would that be, "Hi Ms. *****, can I go out with you daughter?") or exactly how old she is (I know i'm not much older than her)! I do know she's in middle school, she likes some video games, and she's beautiful!

So i need help on how to ask her out, I'm considering asking my ex to give me her info since they are best friends, which counld be great or it could be horrible!

Alot of girls have a kinda rule where they dont date their friends ex's. To get over this, if you are still friends with your ex and it wasnt a hard break up, then maybe talk to her about it, and get her to help. If the girl you like knows she has her best friends blessing then it should be okay. And as she is her best friend then getting your ex on your side would help alot

Although the relationship didn't end because of any bad reasons, I still think it'd be bad if you were to ask her for her best friends information because you're interested in her if you've only just got out of a relationship with her.

You should give it sometime or even approach the girl yourself rather then do it through your friend because it'll come off pretty bad to her.

Heya!

I agree with Charlie.
Asking for your ex-girlfriend's best friend's information is not the way to go. The break up might not have been bad, but it's sort of a girl thing not to date friends ex-boyfriends. If you really want to go out with her, then I'd approach her instead of going through your ex.

Does she live in the area? Or close to you? If you approach her, and she does indeed live close by, it won't be difficult to see her over the summer. You can always make plans to hang out, go to the movies, hang out at the mall, go on picnics or bike rides. There are tons of things you can do together over the summer, if she lives close by.

Even so, approach her first. You can get her contact information from her and stay in touch over the summer until you'll be able to see her again. Using your ex-girlfriend to get close to her best friend is only going to hurt your ex, and any friendship you have going with her. Take the chance and approach the girl yourself. If you get denied, it isn't the end of the world. There are plenty of other girls out there.

It's ok to call her mom and say you'd like to say hi to her daughter. She'll probably ask her daughter if it's ok if you call her. Seems like a big deal, but it's not. Mother's know that boys will call their daughters and it's no shocker to have one ask if they can call her. In fact, it will cause her to be less suspicious. You have nothing to lose. And maybe a lot to gain.

Hmm.. I know everyone is saying not to ask your ex but wht if you can think of a legitament reason? Maybe you could come up with a question you needed to ask the new girl... one that your ex of course wouldnt be able to answer.

You said you don't have much in common with your ex.. so pick something you have in common with ONLY the new girl. Do you share any class with her that isn't with your ex?

Maybe... if you really care a lot about her not knowing you are thinking about going out with her best friend (and this idea is pretty immature honestly but hey, I think its quite creative ), you can ask one of your friends over to spend the night. To occupy the boring hours of the night text/call your ex and ask her for her friend's number so you can prank text her (just make sure to not ask your ex too late at night otherwise she might already be asleep and you'll miss your chance).

Then you can also just be kind of flirty when you are texting her for the first time because she won't know who it is (warninggg... some girl's actually hate not being told who it is so be careful and judge her reaction beore dragging this ou too long. If she seems to take it too seriously just tell her. You'll still have her number anyway! ).

Also... make sure she has unlimited texting. If she doesn't just make it a prank phone call (but no cheesy voices... just playfully ask her to guess who it is). Also make sure her service plan won't charge her. If it does keep the call short!

Again, very immature plan but it's fun, entertaining, and it gives you a chance to be a bit flirty too! Mostly I guess I just like to be crative though. Remember, don't take life too seriously. If all else fails you can ask her mom still! If theres a wil there's a way so don't worry so much!

You two or over..the only reason it was a semi big deal was if you were going to use your ex to get with this new girl.

It's alright, the newness (that may have been a word i just made up there...) is what makes it so exciting and fun! My advice is to just go for it! What's the abslute worst that can happen? It's worth it regardless. good luck!
