Unhappy cheating - October 9th 2011, 03:02 PM

how to a learn to trust him? every time my boyfriend cos out with his football mates and his laddy mates i get really paranoid that his gonna cheat. he was a bit of a player and slept around before we were together and i asked him the other week if he missed being single and he said he missed flirting with girls. and everytime he goes out i just don't trust him.

Trust doesn't come easy. Since you know he's been a player in the past, maybe you should have a talk with him about your concerns.

I agree with this. It will take some time to develop his trust, but it is important because it keeps a relationship strong. Tell him if he misses flirting, he can flirt with you at any time. There will always be things you miss about being single or being in a relationship.

Trust is the key to a good relationship. I must agree with the others who have posted and say that you should sit down and talk with him. Communication is a very important part of a relationship. It shows that you can trust the other person with your emotions.
Best of luck.

Actually, my boyfriend and I are going through the same thing now. He confided in me that he does miss flirting with other girls, but he understands that in order to be in a relationship, he had to give the flirting up.. but I agree with everyone else; trust is a hard thing to come by. But since it doesn't seem like he's actually done anything wrong to you, you really shouldn't be as paranoid.

It'll all be okay in the end.
I promise. c:

Without trust, there's no healthy relationship. It's hard, but unless he's given you a reason to not trust him, you have to.

The two most important things in a relationship are trust and communication. And if you think you can't trust him....then that's not much of a relationship is it? So just talk to him more about your concerns and tell him why you feel the way you do. He should console you and make you feel better. If he doesn't....then it's up to you where to take things from there.

Good luck! ^_^

COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY!!!!!!!!!

Talk to him. Tell him about your concerns. Confide in him. I seriously can't think of any other way.And it will take time for a person to trust someone. That's pretty ordinary.
