Filipino Girlfriend - cheat?

My Filipino girlfriend claims i'm her 2nd boyfriend and everything was going AMAZING, until i discovered her 1st boyfriend was with her for 7 years. We have only been going out for about 1-2 months and already we discussed splitting up several times.

This time however, it looks like it's the end. Here's why. I saw a chat conversation saved on her computer with her and her ex.

I translated it from Filipino to English.

her ex : pde mag tanong? (Can I ask something?)
girlfriend :sure
her ex :mahal mo ba si captn. america??? (Do you love captain America?)
girlfriend:hindi (no)
her ex:bkit???? (why)

girlfriend :my naka occupied kase sa puso ko,. (Someone is occupying my heart)
girlfriend: pinapaalis ko na (im asking him to leave)
girlfriend: ayaw naman umalis,. (No he does not want to leave)


The captain america reference is because her bf thinks i am American, which i am not.

My girlfriend is telling me that in that chat above..she is saying that she is telling her ex that me (her boyfriend) is occuping her heart and she wants him to leave....

However,

when i read it, i feel like she is saying she doesnt love me (hindi means no in Tagalog).

Then she is saying she wants me to leave. She asked me to ''spend time apart because we were seeing each other too much''

At the very end of the conversation she asks if he has changed his phone number and can he message her next time on facebook.


What do i do?

I don't think you can expect someone to love you when you've only been together for two months. But it's pretty obvious that she isn't over him. I think the "I'm asking him to leave" is a reference to the ex, not to you, but I'd still be wary of dating a girl that still has so much baggage. You've already talked about splitting up, and this might be a good time to do it.

Acheron is right; having expectations of love from a 2 month relationship is sort of asking for a bit much. Love doesn't happen like that, and comes over time.

You've discussed splitting up several times, so I don't think there is much to say other than this might be the right time. She sounds very emotionally invested in her ex, though I don't see it as cheating (your reference to the title of your thread). Talking isn't cheating. I just don't see the relationship working out for you like you hoped it might, especially since the topic of separating has been brought up several times.

thanks for the replies. She says that she wouldn't ask me to be with her if it wasn't for the fact she's over him.

She said she wants to see me on Monday so i will speak to her then. I'm willing to give her one last chance i think.
