Is it something or am I just overreacting?

There is this guy and we have been running into each other frequently. I never started noticing him until one day I saw him and he hovered around my area even though what he was doing could have been done on his side and then when I was putting something back on table which he was on the other side of he just stopped doing what he was doing and focused on me then glanced over for a while. I admit, we had a staring contest because I started staring him down and he caught me and did the same. His friend caught me too and started talking to him and smiling as he was looking over to our table. I saw him a few days later and I was talking to one of my friends. He just walked by slowly, stopped, and waited until I stopped talking then glanced over and walked away. I final;ly didn't see him for a few days until I walking to my hall when lo and behold my crush's friends were staring in my direction smiling and my crush was walking towards them but their backs were turned to him...it was really awkward and I just had to attempt to look as if I was busy. There was also no one behind me. In between the two incidents I have been getting random knocks on my door from guys who just run away..it has now been established that it's his friends doing that. I really want to talk to him because he seems so sweet but I don't want it to be in vain. So what does he think of me, what are his friends trying to do and what should I do and how?

But back to your questions, He could be thinking about a number of things. If he does it this often he might be thinking "hey she looks really cute, maybe I should go talk to her."

As for his friends really I don't know exactly know what they are doing. I mean I never had any of my friends do that. So really I wouldn't have a clue.

And as for what you should do is next time you see him and your both alone or something go up and talk to him. Say something like "Hi. How are you?" Or "Hey whats up". Really anything that will open up some type of conversation.

He obviously likes you, if not he wouldn't have done all of that. He would have just walked by like everybody else. His friends are probably trying to talk to you so they can tell him what you're like. This is his wingman. If you want to talk to him then go ahead. He likes you so you can talk to him anytime you see him because he will want to. He wants to get to know you just as much as you want to know him. He probably has full intentions of dating you.
