I think I'm nuts...

Ok, you all probably know me from my past posts about Abby, a girl I liked. I've finally gotten over her a few months ago.


I obviously started looking at other girls, I like a few of them, but they all have boyfriends or just aren't interested in my in that way. It feels like there isn't a single girl in the school that likes me in a bf/gf way. It's getting annoying, because I really want to be a bf again. (Yes I know I sound like a bad person, so let me clear this up, I don't want any relationship because for sex. I just want to do the fun things in a relationship, hold hands, hold her book, nice dates, laugh together, I really miss all that stuff.)


I can understand why some girls wouldn't like me, I am kind of the "good class clown", I don't interrupt class and cause trouble with the teachers, but I always try to make people laugh, etc. Obviously I can understand some girls not liking that, but all the girls? Am I wrong into thinking class clown should attract girls to me? Should I change myself? (though I truly love trying to make people laugh)

I was just thinking about this some more, and I relised that I never really hang out with anyone. I've only got one friend that I normally hang out with after school, but he could talk me to all the hang outs as he's more popular than me. Would that help more? I wouldn't really enjoy it (the times I have hung out when he's hanging with others I feel like the tag along, which I am), however I would go to more of them if I knew it would be a better chance to get a girl. For example, my friend has been bugging me to go to the teen club here in town. I never feel like going but would I probably have a better chance of getting a gf if I went there some?

I've always loved class clowns, unless they do it too often and become too disruptive in the class. Then its obnoxious. But if you are funny and make people laugh, it will attract girls, we love funny guys.
Do not change yourself. That's a very wrong thing to do, you have to find a girl who likes you for you. If you act like someone your not, any girl that becomes attracted to you will eventually figure it out and realize you aren't who she thought you were. Always just be yourself.
I would have your friend introduce you to his friends so you can meet some new people. Maybe try talking to new people at your school as well and see if you can find people who are similar to you that you could hang out with again.

While relationships are fun, remember that they take responsibility. You're only 14, you have plenty of time to date. Instead of worrying about finding a girl who likes you, focus on other things such as school. You don't need a girlfriend to be happy.

While my social life is bad, I should have put in, I do flirt with girls at school, and have a few friends, I just never talk with them outside of school. Other than that, I appreciate your advice, and keep it in mind. Thanks

Well how come you don't talk with them outside of school? That could help to improve your social life.

Most of my guy friends don't have cell phones, and all of my gal friends aren't interested in me outside of school.

Well, how do you know they aren't interested? Maybe they just don't know you that well yet. I would talk to your friend who you hang out with and just invite him to go do something and tell him to invite a couple of his friends. Then you can get to know some more people.

I've tried texting a few, and they end up blowing me away. They text me when they want to, not when I want to. Most people know me well by now, I do talk with a lot of people, but they just don't want to talk with me outside of school much.


But yeah, I'll try that.

Well the fact that they still text you means that they do want to talk. Maybe they're just busy when you text them?

Some used to text me, but I haven't gotten a text from a girl (other than one, but she stopped texting cause she never texts) in months.

Well maybe during school you should try talking to them more. If they don't know you well, then that could be why they don't text you much.

They know me well enough, I talk with a lot of people during school, in fact it would almost seem I'm quite popular. For example there are two girls in percussion with me, we talk all the time at school and during band. But they never text me and don't talk for long if I text them.

Maybe they just don't like texting very much? I'm the same way. When you text them, do you try and keep it interesting? If the conversation is flat, that could be why they don't text for long.

I try to keep it interesting, but after a while they just stop texting. And I know at least one texts a lot, she's one of the most popular in school, so she texts all the time. She likes me a lot in school, but I guess I'm not worth it when we aren't in school.

Alright, first things first, NEVER change yourself you are perfect just the way you are, and granted, some girls don't like kids in class making everyone laugh, some really want to learn. Don't change your personality, but if you think it would help, just tone down a little bit with the amount of laughter you provoke. But, please, don't change yourself.

On the other hand, a large majority of girls are attracted to funny guys, so this can be a good sign too. Also, if no girl is coming forward to you, its probably because shes too shy and inexperienced to know that you want to be in a solid relationship. If she knew that, then she would come running and screaming into your arms not many guys want that sort of relationship, whereas a whole lot of girls do.

Its always nice to be able to hold a girls hand and have someone to talk to, but don't make this one of your top priorities. If you don't look for a girl, that's when you find someone. OR someone will find you. Either way, eventually you'll find someone goodluck!
