Started dating a guy with Aspergers?

Hello everyone.

I've posted this here because I figure I'd get better responses opposed in Relationships & Dating.

Over the weekend I started seeing a boy who has a mild form of Aspergers Syndrome.*
I always noticed he was particularly quiet and not as social as most people, and now I understand why.*
He's a 'metal head', has no problem with talking to people he's close to. Over-All he appears to be a pretty regular guy.*

I'm curious if anyone here can help me understand the disorder better.*
I personally don't know much about it, and I'd like some insight as to whether or not there are certain things I should be aware of while dating a man with AS.*
Are there certain things that should be confronted differently with them? Any problems that are likely to arise?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Started dating a guy with Aspergers?

I have a mild form of as perges myself and I take every thing litterally, like things need to be explained to me such as some expressions such as 'spending a penny' before it was explained to me what it meant - i thought someone was going to go to the shop and spend some money - instead they were just going to the toilet to have a pee. So it might an idea to try not to use many idioms and expressions that have different meanings as he may take them literally.
