untitled song/poem - February 23rd 2013, 04:16 PM

the clock turns, the sun falls
darkness comes on
life goes on
you wondering where you're going
what has come of it?

Where did everything we know go?
where did it all disappear too?
when the darkness came, the clock turned
all of it vanished into the past
the darkness ever growing

the world falling from beneath your feet
or so it seems
falling into the darkness
not a speck of light in sight
the crushing weight of darkness on your chest

when all of a sudden someone somewhere
grasps you by the hand
your plung stopped by this mystery
They lift you up onto the edge
a stair case ahead of you

they grasp your hand and you feel it
something special, something you never knew
you walk, the darkness disappearing as you walk
walk up the flight of stairs to a world
a world you never knew

the brightest world you've ever seen
something is different
someone saved you but who is this? what is this?
This is your new world
a world guided by love

love saved you
something you never expected, you expected fantasy
stopped your plunge into darkness
brung you into this world of light
changed everything from the worst to best

the only thing it took was one grasp
the grasp of the hand of love
grabbing your hand, pulling you up
from your endless plunge into darkness
showing you, there is always a light

it doesn't matter who you are
there's always a light
no matter how dark the darkness is
no matter how far you plunged
there is always light

got bored wrote it in class haha, first thing i've wrote in awhile and changed up my style a bit. what ya think?
