Hey Chantal, I made the choice not to work while in school, but I did try to find a part time job with no luck. For me it was the right decision, but it isn't possible for everyone to do that. Working makes it harder, mostly because of having less time to do things, but most people are working and college is more flexible. I would suggest making a general schedule for yourself to see just how much time you're going to have and where. Budget one hour of homework for every hour of class. A full load of classes will probably work out to about the same time commitment as a full time job (unless it's very different in Canada). I know it got on your nerves, but I think your cousin is just trying to make sure you don't overwhelm yourself.
