Re: How do I know if I have an eating disorder? - January 7th 2016, 10:04 PM

Seek out help. From what you explained, it sounds to me like advice from your peers won't help you solve what you are going through. I suffered with Anorexia from ages 12 to 15. I understand how you are feeling. Speaking only for myself, I wasn't able to recover mentally, emotionally, and physically until I sought outside help from a therapist and a doctor. That is my suggestion to you. Please know that you are not at fault and you didn't do anything wrong. With every problem there is a solution. If you really do want to feel better, then be proactive in seeking help. There is no shame in it. I was in therapy for 5 years and looking back, I am so grateful that I did. Please do not brush this under the rug. Don't pay attention to negativity from others and especially don't be negative towards yourself. Be kind to yourself
