My Disability - November 11th 2009, 06:07 AM

After years and years of wondering what my disability is, someone finally gives me the answer I want. People kept telling me a had a learning disability and everytime I would ask them what it was, they would just say it's your hearing impairment and your speech impediment. I'm like "Nooo, that's not a learning disability" and they just shrugged it off. Now, here I am at a private college for people with learning disabilities. I am doing a research paper on my learning disability. At first, I was like, "Umm, how can I do it when I have no clue?" Then, my teacher finally gives me my answer and I'm like "FINALLY!!" I swear, it's a relief.

My learning disability is: Cognitive Disorder - NOS
It affects my processing speed, my visual perception, and my cognition.

I did research and here is a link that I think perfectly sums it up:

I was wondering (and hoping) if anyone here has it and/or know anyone else that has it. If so, what are your experiences with this disability?
