Having thoughts -

Right now I am in a relationship with a guy older then me and I am having these thoughts...
A while ago we were kissing in his car and got a little carried away, nothing major. But I could feel that he was giving me a clue that he wanted to "do it". I think I really like my bf and I am really happy with him. We know each other really well, we were friends for 5 moths before me started to date and I really feel comfortable with him and I think I wouldn't mind losing my virginity to him.
But the thing is that my mom and I were talking about it (she dosnt know about my bf, so i brought it up in general) and what she told me was that if I were to have sex before marrage, how would I look my husband in to the eye? I mean, if i get married and am not a virgin, would my husband divorse me or think I am a slut or what? It's not like that these days is it???
And also, my other question is, is it true that the later you lose your virginity the more it will hurt?
