Hm... I find it interesting that you're talking about the current job market. It still pretty much sucks - my boyfriend has been applying for job after job for the past few months and has gotten nothing. The same with my brother.
HOWEVER - I have noticed that there are more people getting a job where I currently work. The problem is... The more people we hire, the less hours we get because the company can't afford to staff a lot of people because they're not making as much money as we used to. I've actually been called by my boss and told not to come in because they overscheduled. In all honesty, I'd rather less people work there overall so that I -can- get the hours I need to support myself. Overhiring can be just as much of a problem.
