I like to play a game with my friends in lessons with teachers gullible enough to think we're actually interested in the work. What we do is we write down a list of completely random and unrelated words such as:

Banana
chipmunk
W.B. Yeats
alarm clock
Hitler
androgenous
pillow
number plates

Then when the teacher starts talking we put up our hands and try to get all of the words into the conversation as fast as possible. The person who says all of the words first wins. It is hilarious to play and the competitive side gives it more of an edge. Note: do not try this on clever, intuitive teachers as you are likely to end up in detention.
