I agree 100% with this, you cant push this situation as it may just tip her over the edge. Let her know that you understand, and are willing to help - and then take a step back and see if she comes to you.
I also like the idea of you maybe finding someway that she could 'help' you - so that way she doesn't feel like the 'silly' person for asking for help.
