Cats often run of for a couple of days. One of our kittens we didn't see for 72 hours!

I wouldn't worry too much about it though. If it comes to a week, I'd start looking in the area again.

Another thing that's happened to me is that a previous cat went missing and two weeks later there was a knock on the door. There were two kids holding our cat! They said that she'd been run over and they took her to the vet and looked after her for a little while.

I'm sure your cat's fine.
