I disagree about having the referendum in 4 years time.
I think it should be fairly soon.
If the SNP put off a referendum then they'll be spending the next term in government focused on trying to convince people of independence rather than actually running the country successfully.
The majority of Scottish people at this point in time, do not support independence.
Alex Salmond knows he'll lose the referendum if he has it now which would be a massive blow to the party.
However I read yesterday that David Cameron has the power to 'force' him to have a referendum sooner rather than later- as much as I hate Cameron, I hope he does!
The Scottish people deserve better than to have their government spend 4 years trying to convince them of something they don't want rather than focusing on what needs done now.
