1) You're my best friend in this big stupid world. I love you like crazy. And I wish I could confide in you about the big stuff, but I don't want to be that obnoxious girl that never shuts up about her own problems. I don't want to get sidelined as a freak or a fuck-up or a whiner. And I really, really don't want you to think that since I like girls, I must be perving on you. :/

2) Actually, mom, what I really want for my birthday is an appointment with a therapist.

3) I want to be you when I grow up. Or in two years. Or now. Because I think you're the most grounded, talented, honest girl my own age I've ever met. You make me want to fix myself. So thanks for that.
