You may bleed for a while after pregnancy only because you haven't had a period for 9 months. The bleeding may be heavy, it may not. It all depends on the person. Everyone is different in terms of periods, how heavy they are and how long they'll last. Just make sure you wear a pad instead of a tampon, that way you can still heal after giving birth.
