Weight Loss Wrinkles? -
July 9th 2012, 03:31 AM
I have lumpy cellulite on my legs, which bothers me some, but apparently it is normal. What really bothers me are some wrinkles that have begun to cover the insides of my thighs. I can't decide if they are cellulite or something like stretch marks. I don't think they are stretch marks because they are neither white nor red, they are simply grooves in my skin a few millimeters thick and a few millimeters apart. They begin at the top of my thigh and continue to my knees. They are somewhat visible when my legs are extended, but when I bring my legs to my chest they are very visible and it is almost like viewing the skin of an elderly person.
My hope is that they are weight loss grooves that will disappear over time as I lose more weight/tone my legs. I noticed that they only appeared after I really began to exercise by riding a stationary bike(I am overweight- I think I might be losing the weight in my thighs first), but I don't know if I'd been exercising for enough time at that point to have enough weight loss to cause grooves like this. Perhaps it is a cellulite thing that I've had coming for a while now.
To consolidate, my questions are: Is it cellulite? Are they weight loss wrinkles? If so, will they go away? How long?
