They are VERY non-understanding :) It is a very reasonable thing to do, what you suggest. But they behave like they were first time in love when they were 30.

I am uncomfortable about asking them...

Zelophobia, what you suggested seems rather pessimistic from my point of view - in that case we would have to wait about at least 5-10 years to have completely normal relationship. Way too much....
