- Hey, I'm Kalina and I'm 17. I'm gonna be a Senior in High School this upcoming School Year. I live with my older sister who is 21 as last January about a week after I turned 17 my sister and I got the worst possible phone call you could ever imagine getting. It was from a hospital telling us to get there ASAP. Well we rushed to the hospital but it was too late as both my parents had passed away for the injuries they sustained from a auto accident. So me being a minor I was taken away from my sister and put in a Foster home which we didn't want. I also had the choice of staying with my Grandparents who lived several states away and my Grandfather was ill so I didn't want to do that. So my sister pretty much dropped what was going to be her Senior year of college this year to get a Full Time job, we sold the home, and my sister got an apartment. My sister is going to take a few online college classes to continue towards completing her degree while I start my Senior Year of High School on September 5th. So just about 3 weeks ago I finally got to move out of the Foster home and back with my sister which I am so happy to be.
