Education and Careers Work of any kind can get stressful at times. Ask in this forum if you need help with coursework, applications, and more.
One of my current goals is to teach undergraduate college courses, specifically in Psychology. I have applied at several colleges, so hopefully one will give me a chance!
That is awesome. I am currently a TA at a university. I have never been instructor of record, but have experience getting in front of class and presenting. What is amazing to me is how I have improved. I just thought I was bad at presenting , but now it is something that doesn't make me the slightest bit nervous at all. It isn't my main goal to become a college professor- mainly because I don't want to spend the next 5 years getting a PhD, but a community college teacher is till possible for me with a Master's, so am thinking about that.
Were you a TA for psych before? Because that is something that will significantly help your chances of success at getting teaching positions.
Public speaking can be scary, but it also builds confidence a whole lot! It gets easier the more you do it. I haven't been a TA before, but I'm applying at a college and not a university, so maybe they will give me a chance. I have all kinds of interactive ideas for classes.
