Metalheads' Day

Today is Metalheads' Day and I like this celebration in particular, as it's my birthday as well I've been listening to metal music for years, but my taste has changed over time. The first band I've ever listened to was Lordi - I used to be quite a fan! You might know them as the 2006 Eurovision winner.
Now I listen mostly to power and folk metal, my favourite bands being Korpiklaani, Twilight Force and Alestorm.
I'm curious about your music taste. Have you ever listen to metal? Do you like it or perhaps you consider it a cacophony? :P Share your favourites!

Korpiklaani

Metal isn't even music, it's just a bunch of garbage. I couldn't tell if it was a cat being tortured or music. It's just that bad.

Furthermore, I am not too terribly fond of metalheads because they gruesomely appropriate a gesture of endearment in American Sign Language.

I don't mind listening to a bit more heavy music.
