I'm sitting in school with really bad period pains!! And I don't know what to do about it!!
It feels like I've been whacked in the stomach and I get these period pains everytime I have a period and I'll often sit there with a hot water bottle, food and a film. But as I said, I'm in school and I have 3 hours of school left, so what do I do to relieve it until then?
I don't have anything on me, except for lunch, so I can't really do much to distract me.
So I tell my teacher? And if I do, what would she do? What could she do? Or what do I suggest she do, if anything?
Those questions sound weird, sorry!!! My English doesn't flow well when I'm like this.
Thanks for reading and offering advice if you did!!

You could try asking your teacher if you can see the nurse about your period pains.
Is there any medication you could take, ect? Thats what would be good to know.
Also, maybe tomorrow try packing your own motrin, or tylenol to school, or take it before so you don't have pains while you are there.
Is there any way you could go to the nurse and call your parents? Maybe one of them could bring you something to take. Or the nurse could have something you could take for the pain.
As for Shelby's advice to bring the pain meds to school tomorrow, I wouldn't recommend it. You can take them before you leave for school. I don't know about in England, but in schools here if you're caught with pain pills in school you're in big trouble. If that's the case where you live, I wouldn't recommend it but if it's not against the rules, by all means go for it.

What I generally do in school is bring a bottle of water to school. When I've drank it, I go the bathroom and fill it with warm water. I then play with it in class, and rub it on my tummy. No one notices, they think I'm just fidgeting
Rubbing your tummy sometimes helps. Pain meds- I'm from England, and I generally do have painkillers I've bought (not ones that have been prescribed) in my bag. I'm not sure what the rules specifically are, but I've never been told off for it. Depends on the school.
School nurses often have a hot water bottle for this very purpose! At least mine does. It's pink Just mention you're having stomach cramps, is there anything she can do to help you?
You could talk to your school nurse. Inform your teacher that you're having some bad cramps, and you'd like to visit the school nurse. Ask her for some Advil or Ibuprofin, and just wait it out. Sometimes, they'll even let you lie down during a class period until you feel ready to take on the next class.

This happens to me ALL THE TIME!! My nurse lets me keep my own personal hot water bottle/heating pad in her office. Whenever I need it, I just go to her office, lay down with the pad for a while (that's only if my cramps a severe), or just take the water bottle to class. Check with your school nurse!
Hope I helped and God Bless,

I would try to take some painkillers before school, and either take some with you to school (if you are allowed) or go to the nurse to get some throughout school. Honestly, where I was from you weren't allowed to have them on you, but they weren't strict about it because they knew they weren't dangerous drugs, and that women have their needs. I'm also not sure if this is everybody, but my cramps go away when I sit in almost a fetal position. This isn't possible in class, obviously, but maybe if you are allowed (and small, like I am) sitting in your chair with your knees to your chest might help. I don't know why this helped me, but it always did.
I'm also going to give you our Guide to Menstrual Cramp Relief sticky. Many of those may not be able to be used at school, but you might get some ideas from it as well. Good luck!
Thank you all!! I will try these out the next time I'm on.
