I don't understand what's happening -
June 14th 2021, 03:58 AM
[FONT=""][COLOR=""][SIZE=""]It started three months back. I started to feel that my throat was very heavy(exactly the kind you feel when you cry too much), it was odd and hard to explain, after a few days when my periods started it went away, since then it happens randomly and goes away randomly. This time it has persisted for almost a week and now I'm getting worried.
It doesn't hurt but it just makes eating difficult and makes me uncomfortable because it feels so heavy all the time, its irritating.
Also I made out with my bf a few days before this all started (fully clothed, nothing serious happened), I got an absurd fear that i might be pregnant, googling that worsened it. I've had a regular cycle for the past three months but whenever this throat thing happens my mind goes there.
If anyone has idea what this is , please tell, or which doctor should i talk to about this thing about my throat.

Hello,
Thank you so much for coming onto Teenhelp and telling us about what you have been going through and I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with this and hope that you will be okay soon. When we are not feeling well or something feels off with us it is a good idea to ask for help, it is totally fine to ask our parents or siblings or friends or someone at school like a school counselor or teacher or doctor or anyone else. Would you be able to try talking with someone in you're family or calling the doctor and letting them know what you are going through and then they would be able to help you out so that you feel better soon. If you are not able to talk about this face to face then try writing a letter about what you are going through just so they can understand and then they can help you out. I know that sometimes it can be hard to open up about what we are going through, that's why I like writing letters to them for help. I hope that you will be okay soon.

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. You're absolutely justified for your concern. I would definitely suggest meeting a doctor - a general practitioner would be good - about this. Particularly the throat swelling thing seems to be concerning.
None of us here on TeenHelp - at least to my knowledge - are medical professionals so we might not be able to tell exactly what might be driving this problem. Your best bet, especially to resolve all worries, would be to go to the doctor.
Also, don't worry - making out will not making you pregnant. Only vaginal sexual intercourse might
