I don't see the point in a girlfriend but I still feel like I want one -

For some reason deep down I want a girlfriend. I don't know why since all the reasons for having one don't matter to me much. I don't usually have problems with being alone, I don't need to share things, if I told them secrets I still wouldn't trust them. I just don't see why I would want one. Does anyone else feel the same?

I personally don't feel the same, but it's normal to feel a bit odd about things like this during your teenage years. If you're not interested in dating now then that's okay, you don't need to. Maybe you'll feel the urge to in a few years, but if you don't, that's fine. There are some people in the world who would just rather be on there own and that's completely acceptable.
Don't rule out dating just yet, but you might just need a bit of time to yourself, though. I hope you manage to work through this.
