Hello, you can talk to you're daughter about seeing her mother before going to see her. If she get upset, it is okay. Let her talk about whatever she wants to talk about, school, friends, etc. You can also ask if she wants to see her mother too and see whar she says back to you. Then after take her to do something fun after to get her mind off of this for a while. Take her out for pizza or to her favorite coffee shop, ect to help pick her up or buy pizza and take it home and let her pick the movie and watch it together and eat pizza and watch it.

This is solely something that is a decision between you and the family. There could be some positives that can come out of this in regards to seeing a jail environment will deter teenagers from wanting to go down that path of criminal activities. I know of a show that wayward teenagers have to visit jails and be educated in order to stop them from doing what they're doing.

But I can see some potential educational value in this depending on the circumstances.

Not necessarily. I’m fine with her talking to mom or even seeing her it is simply the environment, seeing the guards, and inmates, seeing what jail is like etc. interestingly thigh I am hearing for some people that it is OK and 15 is the perfect age.

it is a check fraud charge and a six month sentence. Daughter is fine with visiting, her mom says bring her if she wants,. I don’t have a problem with her seeing mom, it is solely the environment and seeing guards and other inmates. A 15 year old that only just started high school is probably not old and mature enough to visit jail.
