You should definitely be consulting with a doctor. I know based on your previous posts, you're a little hesitant when it comes to medications. But medication to treat epilepsy can be lfie-saving. You could bump your head and get a concussion or choke on your saliva; and both could end up being fatal if you don't get the appropriate treatment.

Re: Anyone here develop epilepsy?

You definitely shouldn’t feel embarrassed about this as it is something you can’t control. I’m sure you wouldn’t laugh at someone who has a medical emergency in front of you, so I’d hope others will extend that to you. Do you think you could develop a plan with people you regularly interact with to help you during a seizure? Not everyone knows what to do (I wouldn’t fully know either). I understand not telling complete strangers, but say you’re hanging out with friends you may have one and need to be kept safe.

I’m assuming you see a doctor so I would definitely keep track of how often this is happening and what you experience so they can adjust your treatment plan if needed. If you aren’t seeing one I do recommend it. I just worry that things will end up getting worse for you or you’ll cause other damage or injury during a seizure. I don’t want to see you being hurt. There’s no shame in seeing a doctor or being treated for seizures. You wouldn’t shame someone for having a severe asthma attack or anaphylaxis for example, so there’s no shame in seizures.

Anyone here develop epilepsy?

I keep having seizures. I have been here for a while and had what I realized was my first (unwitnessed)seizure in January 2019. I have had seizures in the past year that were witnessed which let me know what these past mysterious events were. This past Sunday was absolutely awful. I had multiple tonic clonic/grand mail seizures. I was 26 when this started happening. I hate how many of my muscles feel pulled, still not feeling myself days later, and the embarrassment that comes with it
