Re: How to become less self conscious about using the toilet
I generally sit on the toilet. It's privacy.

I was not able to use urinals as a kid as i was seeing boys my age with skin on their helmets and I
am cut and I didn't want the other boys to see my cut helmet. So i just sat on the toilet and peed.
I am now happy to say that I am proud to show off my penis It been a graet time seeing other
boys down stairs and showing what I have and seeing boys that now llove seeing what I have there
so just take it slowly and soon it will pass when you can enjoy your time there //

Re: How to become less self conscious about using the toilet
Hi there,
I used to be like that as well and get uncomfortable with the thought of someone listening to me go toilet.
But at the end of the day, most of the time, people go into the bathroom for the same reason. It's a natural bodily function and a lot of time, individuals have air pods in their ears.

Re: How to become less self conscious about using the toilet
I used to be really self conscious about this, I found that reminding myself that everyone is using the toilets because they all need to go, whether thats a number 1 or number 2.. everyone is doing their business and most likely are not paying attention to what you are doing. also there so many sounds in a public toilet/restroom that there will often be sounds from others, there will taps running, store announcements/music playing (in some places) hand dryers going, people having conversations, and sounds of cubicle doors opening and shutting. The likelihood of someone hearing you pee is there but also how will they know it's you? I often choose a cubicle away from others which I find helps too, but usually no one is really paying attention to whether or not they can hear you peeing, in fact I don't think I've ever been in a public toilet and heard someone else peeing. Needing the toilet is a natural occurrence so try not worry.

Re: How to become less self conscious about using the toilet
Honestly having chronic bladder and GI issues helped lol
Sometimes I tell myself that I’m hearing other people go to the bathroom and I’m not judging them for a normal bodily function, so they’re likely not judging my bodily functions either. We all want to get in and out of the bathroom because nobody really likes using a public restroom. They’re probably focused on getting in and out and not at all about what you’re doing.
