Re: Dads health scare...
So sorry this happened to you. I've just been though something very similar myself, so I can get how you feel to some extent. I'm glad you're getting the reassurance and support that you need ^^

Re: Dads health scare...
Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear what you witnessed. It's so scary as I have seen my mum experience medical episodes as well.
It's good that your Dad has an appointment with the doctor so they will be able to help.
If you ever need anything, my inbox is always open for you.

Re: Dads health scare...
It was more my mother was afraid of not having him if he went to the ER. I talked with my PE teacher and assistant principal about it. The assistant principal was much more supportive than my PE teacher, who just claimed it could have been a panic attack. I literally cried at lunch when I was talking to the assistant principal, and so he reassured me that my dads going to be okay, and that if I can regulate my emotions, my dad will be even better. He helped reassure me that it wasn't my fault as well.

Re: Dads health scare...
This is 100% a new trauma and I’m so sorry it happened to you. That’s so scary to witness. My dad has had a lot of medical problems as well so I get that it can really mess a person up. Is there anyone you can talk to about this? My parents were very open about my dad’s health stuff but I recognize not every parent is, so the person you talk to doesn’t have to be a parent.
The good thing is your dad is being proactive and made an appointment with a doctor. The human body can be super resilient and can fight through a lot of things you’d be surprised about. Maybe he can call every so often to see if there’s a cancellation so he can get in early. Also he shouldn’t be afraid of going to the ER when this happens. They have medications to calm him down and can do tests like an EKG to monitor his heart.

Dads health scare...
So yesterday there was a lot of fighting between me and my grandmother, and my mom made a snide remark, causing my dad to get involved. Last time there was a lot of stress on him he had some heart attack like symptoms...never went to the ER - resolved quickly.
Yesterday my father was on his hands and knees in the kitchen, screaming, crying, grasping at his chest. I can't get the image out of my head. I went to run away(the stress was my fault) and then he went outside after me, and he was on his hands and knees again outside, screaming and crying, saying "Please come back! You're the only reason I have left to live! Please I can't lose you!"
I can't look in my kitchen without completely zoning out now because of what I saw. Idk if it's a new trauma or not, but whenever I hear the word "dying" I can only picture my father yesterday. Whenever I see my kitchen and the driveway outside I see my father on his knees.
We almost had to call an ambulance for him, but once I calmed down, he was able to lower his blood pressure and the chest pains and arm pain went away.
My dad has a doctors appointment on July 11th with a cardiologist I believe to get his heart in check. I'm just really scared...I've never seen my father that weak and in pain...NEVER. He's a 38 year old male, his birthdays in July, mines in September, I'm almost done with middle school(One year left!), and I want him to see me graduate, but after yesterday, I don't know if that's going to happen. I'm so scared...
