Forums: more color options for people with light sensitivity

Right now we have the blue and the purple borders, and we do more around the holidays.

Some smart phones have a darker option now, for people who are sensitive to brightness (such as myself) and it makes it easier to see. For instance, the background would be black or a dark color and the fonts would make themselves a bit lighter.

But if we wanted to expand it, we could let people choose their forum colors or do themes, like a pride forum setup.

I was more posting this for people with a brightness sensitivity though. The latter was just another thought that came up.

I do agree that there should be a "high contrast" and "dark mode" option.

Dark mode can help people who are sensitive to light. Many of our devices with screens are causing a modern form of eye strain that, if left unchecked, can lead to major eye and medical problems like blurred vision. The spectrum of colors on your computer screen is diverse, as are the wavelengths of these hues. Because of their shorter wavelengths and tremendous intensity, certain colors on the spectrum, such as blue light, are more difficult on the eyes. Given the harmful effects of blue light on your eyes, controlling the colors you see on your computer screen is critical. Black text on a white backdrop is the finest color combination to utilize. If you really must use additional colors, make sure they're dark text on light backgrounds, not the other way around.

It is also very important to keep the device at a distance suitable for comfortable lighting to the eyes.
