Are these mobile unfriendly ads the only way to keep this site funded now?

Very hard to click off ads on mobile

This site switched to a new form of ad. These ads are very difficult to click off in mobile and the advertisers do it by design. The "x" to click off the ad is so small
that you are pretty likely to accidentally miss when on mobile and be taken to the advertisers website.
