LMAO I totally remember that episode! Wasn't there another woman he asked out(who is also in a wheel chair) because the first one didn't 'click' for him or something? Then later on Rosie O'Donnell beat the crap out of him? xD

Maybe you should start with telling people who who feel a bit more comfortable with. Not that you don't feel comfortable with your parents, but sometimes confiding in them about your personal issues can be a bit threatening. You could start with your friends; that may help you build up your confidence to the point you're able to approach your parents about this. It would also help you to get a better feel for how they may react.

Maybe you should tell them that you're not ready to talk about it just yet, that you need a little time to gather your thoughts and consider how you can best explain it. Communicate that it's a difficult topic for you to discuss, and that's why you got upset with them before. Once you feel comfortable enough, you can approach them again and hopefully talk about it. It's okay if you need a little time. Coming out is a difficult process.

It is, unfortunately. If you're having trouble articulating your feelings with words, maybe writing them a letter or an email would help?

Aw. I understand where you're coming from. Once when I tried to talk to my parents about my depression, my dad told me I was only doing it for attention. It's really a terrible feeling when no one appears to believe you about something that is really impacting your life.

You're not an attention seeker. What they are saying isn't true. I know it's hard, but try your best not to listen to them. They may just be shocked, surprised, or even confused about what you're going through. Have you tried to explain it a little more in-depth to them? Perhaps it would help if they had a bit more insight into your situation. So instead of just saying, "I want to be a girl," maybe try, "I want to be a girl because I feel..."
