I'm glad that you decided to join the site and are looking into getting help and giving advice.
Sometimes forums can be a bit confusing at first, but I think the best place to start would be to get a big welcome in Arrivals and Departures. That's the section where you can post a little hello and introduce yourself to the other members here on TH. You can tell everyone what your favourite book is, your favourite movie, how you found the site- whatever you feel comfortable saying.
Also, at the top of Arrivals and Departures, there are some helpful links, like How to use the forums and Obtaining Support and Advice. Be sure to give those a read when you get the chance.
