My accent is messed up. Around here, people have asked if I'm English because I'm "posh" and don't use a lot of the local lingo. In England they're all " You're so Scottish!" it's weird.
Is it true that you guys (meaning, most Americans) can tell a person's state by the way they talk? Cause that's just awesome.

I will fly out tonight to get a real-life geography lesson from Louise in probably an awesome accent.

But I think I get it.

It's a song. About llamas. It ended up on my ctrl-v

Yeah sort of. The way we do things is that we have big cities (like Glasgow) and in the kind of... geographical area of Glasgow there are lots of small towns and villages. So instead of saying "Glasgow" and that meaning anywhere in a huge radius, they'd say the name of the town, and then Glasgow. It's just awkward to explain.
I such at explaining things. It makes perfect sense to me because I know the area and I've grown up with it, but explaining it I can see how complicated it is.
I KNOW. It's like if you lived in Progress in Pennysilvania. It's just outside Harrisburg, the capital. So you could say "Progress, Harrisburg, PA" to narrow it down when talking about or looking for something.

Just... just come here and I'll SHOW you. I can't explain properly.

No Glasgow is a city, but it's huuuuuuge. The kind of outskirts are called Greater Glasgow, so this job was there, it should have said, for example, "Stirling, Glasgow" because Stirling is a town but Glasgow is the nearest city so it's easier for people applying to have an idea where in or around Glasgow it is. Just saying the city is no use. I hope that made sense.

    Thank you!!

Oh, Glasgow's not the town? It's like the state or something, or what? Sorry, I'm dumb. But wow, that does sound pretty awesome! I converted it to USD and that's damn good. O.o

    I saaaw! Congratulations!!!

I don't even know. I mean, Glasgow is huge so it probably counts as the outskirts or something. But why not specify the name of the town? It was crazy. Shame too, it was a brilliant job. I knew a girl who worked for the same company and every year they all got a cut of the profits, she got an £800 Christmas bonus.

    I will watch for this.

I feel pretty awesome actually. Wanna know why?
I got the jobbbbb! (Damn the excessive smiley spam filter)

I didn't realise I had two VMs, sorry! And you can now, I think it should be advised if you remove one of your own posts it's good manners to leave a message to the mods that might see it.

Some people are very awesome, such as yourself.

I'd have to research them but sure. I've only ever had one and then I had to call back like "Uhhh your ad said the job was in Glasgow and you're actually 20 miles out of Glasgow so I can't get there. Sorry!"

I'll do some googling though and see what I can find and write!
