Yeah sort of. The way we do things is that we have big cities (like Glasgow) and in the kind of... geographical area of Glasgow there are lots of small towns and villages. So instead of saying "Glasgow" and that meaning anywhere in a huge radius, they'd say the name of the town, and then Glasgow. It's just awkward to explain.

I such at explaining things. It makes perfect sense to me because I know the area and I've grown up with it, but explaining it I can see how complicated it is.

I KNOW. It's like if you lived in Progress in Pennysilvania. It's just outside Harrisburg, the capital. So you could say "Progress, Harrisburg,
PA" to narrow it down when talking about or looking for something.
