A few TH members have had the same 'creepy' response to my age [before they got to know me] but not as many as I would have expected - given the fact that I've 'been here' for over 6 years now!! But I fully understand that. And yet - I think it's important for teenagers [In fact - everyone] to understand that there ARE people in this world who care. And those people come in all shapes and sizes and races and religions and orientations and - yes - AGES!! It's easy to be 'suspect' of anyone not quite like 'us' - and that's true for me too. I - for instance [Because of my background] tend to dismiss people older than I am [Especially men] as being unreasonable and/or 'difficult'. And that's just not fair. Of course - some older people - in fact - some people - regardless of their age or their sex - can be 'difficult'. [And that's putting it nicely!! lol] But we have to try to take each person as they ARE and not assume things about them simply because they fit into some 'box' and remind us of someone else.
I'm glad you took the time to 'get to know me' and read my profile. That means a lot to me. I want people to like me [Or not like me] BECAUSE of ME!!
You are obviously a very nice person. I hope you'll accept my friendship request.

I just wanted to say thanks and that I think what your are doing is really great. I've seen some of your posts and wondered if you where older because of your picture I never bothered to look at your birth date . Anyways something brought me to your profile and I saw your age and I was like........ CREEPY (sorry no offense). Then I read your about me and my views completely flip flopped. I am sorry you were treated that was as a teen but I am glad it turned you into the person you are today . Kudos on keeping that promise to yourself .
