What I've learned from personal experience is that until you realize that you have nothing left to hold onto with your addictions you won't be willing to let go. You use to know you don't have anything worth keeping there. You gotta be willing to feel scared and hurt and angry sometimes and not just try to make it go away but learn to accept uncomfortable feelings cause they will come up
