Well, I think taking the road with the least drama, distancing yourself or staying by his side, would be safest for now. But let life take it into its hands, and if you two are meant to be together, it'll happen. You're young, and this girlfriend of his, is young, and he is as well. You've got a lot of time, and like I said, its totally normal to fall for a best friend. So you aren't alone, just hang in there

So now, I ask, honestly, how are you doing? I saw your post, and oh, I've been there alright. I've been liking my best friend for long over a year too, and first off, I'm sorry things are this tough for you. I wish life would let us just have our prince charming's, but it seems Disney didn't give us the whole truth, did it? But, it is much better that they knows you like them, its one less thing off your shoulders. There really isn't any shame in liking them, and I hope it doesn't start drama, really I don't. But... don't lose hope. I know it sounds crazy of me to say that, but don't. Perhaps trying to control your emotions, keeping your distance, and plain backing off is the logical answer, but it isn't the easiest. None of it is easy. But knowing where you stand, I don't think you should give up... that's just me though. I hope some of this made any sense...
