- I'm very pleased to meet everyone it's been a blessing to read people's struggles and triumphs on this site which I've been doing for awhile but I never really took the initiative to create my own account.
I have Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (broken heart syndrome) and have suffered 3 severe heart attacks and 3 mild ones in my life time due to severe depression that I inherited from my father (I also have trypanophobia which didn't help alleviate matters in any way.) Since my depression hasn't gotten any better I'll have to have surgery do to the constant fear of another heart attack as my doctor thinks I have about a 40% chance of making it through another severe one, the surgery itself only having a 65% of success. I don't go into surgery for another couple of months and my doctor suggested this site to help prepare myself so here I am!
