    See, I don't like crickets. I'm not easily ew-ed by stuff, not scared of spiders or anything like that, but crickets...ew. ew ew ew ew ew ew.
    I hate crickets, they smell, they're ew, they're FAR too fast for my poor gecko, so I normally feed my gecko mealworms or locusts, since neither smell half as bad and she can actually catch them..
    Snakes are lovely, you should probably get one as a hatchling, since its nice to get them used to you from a young age, though some will either be determined to try and eat you or are lightning fast and run away in terror if you touch them. The latters the bigger problem, a hatchling snake can't pierce skin if it bites, since its so tiny, and they very quickly work out you're not food. Mine was of the latter, but she's quite calm around me now, doesn't like new people though, always tries to get back to me ^^

    Ah, yeah, I get what you mean ^^;
    I dunno..you do get used to it. I mean, when I got my first snake, she was a hatchling (long and thick as a pencil) and she ate newborn pinkie mice, which were just little pink blobs that didn't have fur or anything, so the fact that the size of prey went up slowly and gradually helped.

    Nicole,

    I just wanted to thank you so much for what you said. You have no idea how much it relieves me to know I'm not the only one with this particular issue. I always wondered, if I'm such an outsider, then why can't I find any other outsiders to make friends with? Then it occurred to me that maybe it's because a lot of other people have this problem, and they don't know how to make new friends, either. So maybe there's a lot more people like this than I can see. My question for you is, how did people react once you stopped pretending? Thanks again.

    Hehe, aww. She sounds so cute ^^.
    And yeah..I like mice too, I like all animals, I guess it's just the natural order of things and stuff. It helps to just think of them as meat .

    Aw, damn, that must have sucked. What kind of gecko was it? And how did it escape? =(.
    Snakes are awesome, you just kinda need to get used to the whole eating mice thing.
