pain..the vast ocean that i sail. lost at sea. sorrow. regret. all i have known all along. pain...my closest friend...death...my destination. is it that i just care too much? cuz its tearin me to pieces. abandonment the story of my life. hate is growing. misery. the seed that i reep...from the seed of love i sow. who knew caring was a bad thing? who knew it would be what killed me? love is all i want but hate and abandonment is what i get. so i cut my arms up watch them bleed. let the pain drain...

Adventures with Cake...part II

Posted December 5th 2009 at 07:10 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

Some of you who have read my previous blogs might recall one titled "Dad, I know you love lemons, but I hope you'll accept my lime" in which I told the story of the making of my dads birthday cake. Well, this is a similar blog...except on the other side of the parental circle. Yes...meaning my mother dearest. And no…this cake-making experience wasn’t any easier.

First of all, let me make it perfectly clear that I was under the impression that my parents weren’t gonna...

Today is the last day for my favorite teacher to teach us. It makes me kind of sad, but she will still be on campus so...
I can see that some people have been reading these. That makes me happy...I feel kind of important now.

Yesterday was boring. I hate staying home from school. It gives me nothing to do, and instead of doing homework (like I should be) I just get on the computer and talk to people the whole time. I am such a procrastinator.
Since people have been reading...

But no one's ever there to take you home.

Holiday season has officially begun.
Bright lights, christmas music, "perfect gift" ads, people wearing santa hats on the street - ah, I love it (except the hat one, ehh, not getting used to it).
Black Friday marked the beginning of the holiday season and boy was I happy. It's like that every year. It gets me super pumped no matter what may be going on in my life.
Thanksgiving weekend is sorta nice, but it's what comes after that really makes me go nuts. Anyhow, this...

At home today, my little sister and I didn't feel good. It's a relief knowing that I don't have to go to Foods today. Yesterday, we had a substitute in my Foods and Nutrition class. I am very glad that Ms. Langlois wasn't there, we actually got some work done.
I've been reading books by Tamora Pierce lately, as she is one of my favorite authors. I really like the Protector of the Small series, though I never really was able to get through the last one...

I am reading Trickster's Choice...

Ugh, back for another day at GVHS. Not much has happened, just uploaded a profile pic. He's my pet dinosaur, Sparta.

Mrs. Langlois is getting on my last nerve. I don't know what grade I'm getting, but I'm pretty sure it isn't good. She hasn't let any of my groups go in the kitchen to cook, and its because they can't get work done right the first time! I hate the groups she assigns me to. I am just a freshman, and I know there will be other opportunities to get the credit I need from...

First Entry 12-1-09

Posted December 1st 2009 at 08:13 PM by mano95

Hey there, Amanda speaking from Green Valley High in Henderson, Nevada. This is my first blog entry, and I only have about ten minuets, so let's get to it.
Life at GVHS can be a mess; there are people smoking and making out in the halls and on campus, studying and trying to finish homework. Breaking up, making up, texting, talking, listening to iPods, going on the internet, updating MySpaces, Facebooks, and Twitters. (All of this happens during the five minuet passing periods) Talk about a...
