It's Waitangi Day tomorrow, so I guess I should have a think about what this year is going to be about for me.

I don't know if you guys are aware, but for a long time now I've wanted to work in the medical field or in some sort of mental health. I've decided I'm going to study nursing, but I won't be starting that until next year at the earliest.

So this year. Well, I want to find a job - because I'll definitely need part-time work to fund full-time study. I want to pay off all my debts. It's difficult to stick to payment plans when I'm on such limited income, but it will be worth the effort long-term.

I also want to lose weight, it'd be nice to be a healthy weight. But that's kind of tied in with getting work - I find it hard to leave the house to exercise at the moment, it's a combined motivation and fear thing, because I'm still not entirely comfortable with my neighbours. I just think it will be easier to lock up and go to the gym, at least if I go out in my car then they don't know how long I'll be gone? I don't know. It's mostly paranoia I'm sure, but I do enjoy working out in a gym because the atmosphere is more conducive to good exercise.

Anyhow that's it for today, I'm quite tired and I still might spend my last $13 at the supermarket.

    Happy Waitangi Day!

Ooh yay studying nursing seems pretty darn awesome! I think that you would do pretty darn good with helping people, especially because of some of the things you've told me before like about that guy who you pretty much helped before anyone competent arrived.

The job will probably help with the income as well, definitely. Any start is a good start though!

Hopefully you will be able to get to the gym soon!

Tell me what you eventually spend it on.
