Medication - June 18th 2012, 08:09 PM

Hey

I'm currently on anti-depressants (Venlafaxine 225mg) and was wondering if the other tablets i take make any difference to the effect they have in any of your experience. I have checked the leaflets etc and my doctor hasn't raised any concerns over what i take along side the anti-depressants. But was wanting advice still. I know it's stupid but yeah:

I take each day: multi-vitamin tablet, the pill, hayfever tablet.
Also, do nurofen or paracetamol and such like give any effect at all? Also use the 4head (headache stick) which is like a dosage of paracetamol or something.

ALSO, the time i take the anti-depressants can vary. I take them when i get up in the morning but this can be anything between 6:45am till 11am. Do you reckon this will may a difference at all? (haven't spoken to the doctor about this as yet but i have an appointment next week so it can be done then)

So yeah, any advice or suggestions or personal experience would be great. Just to make sure i'm getting the most out of these anti-depressants.

Hey Gemma,

Those tablets probably won't affect the anti-depressants much at all, but definitely try to take them at the same time every day. That's probably the best way to make sure they have the best effect. If that still doesn't do too much, then maybe talk to your doctor about changing strength or tablets to help you more.
