BBC Announces New Companion for Doctor Who's 11th Doctor - May 29th 2009, 05:15 PM

Meet Karen Gillan, the new companion for Matt Smith's 11th Doctor

With no character name yet, I'm kinda hoping she's a young River Song (from the fourth season, "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead"), since it's been said she plays a major part in the Doctor's life in the future, and in her two premiere episodes (when played by Alex Kingston), she knew the Doctor's real name, which has always been something he's refused to tell even his most trusted past companions...

I hope she's better than the other companions in the new Doctor Who. I haven't liked a single one yet.

I didn't think Rose was so bad. Sure, she had her share of annoying moments, but her chemistry with both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant worked well in my opinion. Sadly, I haven't had much of a chance lately to catch up to where the series is now, but from what I've seen, I don't really have any major complaints against Martha either. Though I don't get a good feeling about Donna...
