Do I need another Doctor's Note? -
February 22nd 2012, 09:23 AM
So I had the last two weeks off work because I've had a virus which is taking a long time to recover from. I went back to work yesterday, as I thought I shouldn't have more time off, but I really shouldn't have done. I've decided to be sensible today and not go in.
What I want to know is; as I went back for one day do I need to get another doctor's note as it's for the same illness, or does it not matter because it's only one day? Slightly confused as to how this al works.

Depends on your company's policies, your supervisor, what your doctor wrote on the note, etc..
If they're free at your doctor there's no harm in getting another one, or if you're doctor's nice about it. If not I would try to find it in your company policies, I know one company I worked for before you needed one for every certain amount of days. Where I work now I don't need any notes, so it really depends.
