Celebrating 20 years of helping teenagers in need. - July 13th 2018, 08:38 PM

Today TeenHelp celebrates its 20th Anniversary!

TeenHelp was founded on July 13th 1998 and we are thrilled to still be here 20 years later having kept our community thriving for two decades!

Over the years TeenHelp has supported hundreds of thousands of young people right across the world. Many people have asked for advice through our services, while many many more have dropped by to read our articles or find vital information to support themselves.

For those of you who have stuck around, I know TeenHelp has become a special place that gives you hope, connects you with others and relieves the isolation that many of you feel living in incredibly difficult circumstances. It gives you a place to reach out, make friends and overcome these challenges together!

TeenHelp is only the place it is because of all of you, whether you come on every day or only every once in a while, it has always been made through the hard work, compassion and determination of young people who want to make the world a little bit better for themselves and their fellow teens.

So I want to say thank you to everybody for continuing to be part of our very special community!

It is only fitting that in recent months we have reconfirmed our Mission Statement and grew a bunch of new volunteer roles, which will help take TeenHelp forward for the next 20 years and beyond!

Over the next few weeks you can expect several special treats to mark the occasion:
  • You can now watch TeenHelp through a shroud of confetti!
  • 15th July - TeenHelp will publish its 100th Newsletter issue. To celebrate the Newsletter Team have organised an Anniversary Competition with one lucky winner being issued with an online voucher for the shop of their choice! http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f2-an...tition-winner/
  • 20th July - We'll be unveiling the winners of our brand new TeenHelp Inspiration Awards.
  • 25th July - We'll be celebrating all of those who make TeenHelp special with our TeenHelp Summer Awards.
Happy 20th Anniversary!

Wow, something scary happened June 24th 2003!

I, being the queen of Nostalgia and all the coulda/shoulda/woulda's, will upload screen captures from the Wayback Archive.

Happy birthday, TeenHelp!
I can't even begin describe how this site has changed my life over the past nine years, but I'm so thankful for its existence and the people who make the site what it is.

Do you think you will ever bring back the History page, Rob?

please let us keep the confetti

Happy Birthday TH. I can't believe I have been on this site for 11 or 12 years depending on when I joined. This site has helped me a lot through the years and I have cherished my time on this site. I am glad it is still around and hope it is around for another 20 years.

Happy 20th Birthday, TeenHelp!

It's inspiring to see how far TeenHelp has come, and can't wait to see where we'll be in the future. TeenHelp is a comfort and safe place, and it's lovely volunteering for such a great cause too.

P.S. Thanks for the confetti

I notice a lot of you guys have pretty much grown with TeenHelp over the years. I wish I could say the same for me. But TeenHelp still gives me that sense of security, even with certain things; in spite of that, I still feel like TeenHelp gives me that sense of hygge so predominant in Danish culture when it comes to family and friends. We may not be related by blood, but we care about one another so much that it's like a second home. For a few of us, TeenHelp is the only family we have for whatever reason.

Looking forward to another twenty years of TeenHelp.

Happy birthday Teenhelp! So crazy to think I've been on this site since I was an embarrassing 15 year old and I'm now a "grown up". This site does such amazing things and it's so cool to see how it's changed and grown over the years. Hopefully it'll be around for many more years to come.
