Unhappy Bullied - January 26th 2010, 07:30 PM

I get bullied alot. I get called named and pushed around by people. I don't understand why people do these things to me but I think it's because they know that I won't tell anyone.

What can I do??

You could ignore everything, and show you dont care, or you could be discreet and get someone invloved....assuming you are at school, maybe you could swap classes, or even change schools.

Unfortunatly people who bully others are reallly insecure of themselves, so theres obviously that bright spark in you that others are jealous of.

Heya

Here are a few tips to remember on how to deal with bullies. Some of them can be hard and you need to be brave or confident if you want it to work.

1. where ever you are, keep your head held high with a serious or happy face, keep you back straight, and try not to look worried, look as if "your on a misson and nothings gunna stop you."

2.If some calls you a name laugh like you find it funny. (if they ask why, just say because its funny. Ignorant answers work best on bullies.)

3. when theres a bully talking to you, always keep eye contact (this unerves them, puts them off there game) also speak to them as if there a friend, (if they insult you laugh like its funny again)

4. Never ever insult a bully (it gives them an excuse to hurt you)

5.when someone pushes you say: "oh! you got me that time" (treat it as if it was a game.)

The more confident you seem the less likely someone will bully you. If you look as if you find bullies funny, no one will even try. (Afterall, whats a bully's point in making someone happy?)

It takes some confidence so try as hard as you can, your body language is everything.
Any questions?

The first thing to do is ignore the bullies, show them that it doesn't affect you. That way they won't come to bother you, they want a negative reaction out of a person.
Although you can use your own tricks and mock them back, sometimes it can lead to more bullying especially if it's a big group of them.
However if they're still persistent (give it 2 weeks or so, as I notice most bullies move on to someone else), start telling your teachers. If that doesn't work, the best thing to do is change schools if you're certain they'll continue to bully you.
Bullying that goes on to several months or several years can cause long term mental damage and its best to avoid that as soon as possible (was my mistake in the past)...

Just as BPS(BullyPreventionSystem) said, be confident.
And go on with your life.
Stand your ground and if you have insecurity then bgin to get rid of it, because you don't need it. And once again be confident and don't be afraid. But neither should you quarrel or go into a fight.
