Why does everyone act like choosing not to go to college is the stupidest thing you could ever do? I chose not to go to college right now because:
1. School was never my thing.
2. It costs a lot of money I don't have.
3. My current life plans do not even come close to requiring it!
Should my plans change I will gladly go but I am not going to spend thousands of dollars I don't have on an education I don't want or need! What is so wrong with that?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you've figured out what you want to do with your life and you know that you don't need to go to college to achieve that then why bother? As you've said, it costs money that you don't have and you'll spend time that you could spend doing the things you want do, doing something that you don't need to. People probably think it's stupid that you aren't because most people go onto college and so forth but not everyone has to follow that plan. At the end of the day, it's your life to do with it what you wish, you shouldn't have to change your plans to suit what other people are telling you to do.
I don't see anything wrong with not going to college. My little sister doesn't plan on going, and I support her decision completely. If the things you have planned for your life don't require college, then there's absolutely no reason for you to attend. I think it's silly when people choose not to go just to be rebellious, but you had some very valid points that show you thought this through. So, ignore the people who don't approve of your decision and go with your gut. There are still a lot of ways to be successful without going to college.
wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.
