So my dad bought me a gaming computer as a gift cause i told him i wanted to play and make friends but i know nothing of computers and he just sent me this description and said it should be good enough for a beginner according to what he read itll be here wednesday since he bought it online heres the details.
Lenovo - Legion 5 - Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 5800H - 16GB RAM - 512GB Storage - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti - 15.6" FHD Display
He also bought me a portable hard drive thats 6tb.
Starting about the components of a laptop are worse than a desktop one for saving battery, they're pretty good!! Hope the 512 GB storage is Nvme.
Hope the battery is big, because powerful components means big energy needs.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H -> CPU (processor)
16 GB RAM -> RAM is your laptop's short-term memory. Basically, this and the hard disk determine how fast your laptop will react to anything you do.
512 GB storage (hard disk) -> storage is, well, storage 512 GB is quite little, especially with the new games getting bigger and bigger. You might think of buying an external disk for yourself in the future. Not only will it allow you to store more games, it will allow you to store more games without slowing down your main disk on which Windows operates.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti -> GPU (graphic card)
