First ever computer game, -
December 4th 2024, 03:47 AM
Do you remember the first computer game /video game you ever played and what you played it on?
I remember having a windows 96 computer (before dial up internet, yes I am that old) and playing a game on it called frogger, it was a very simple game where you had to get this little frog across a road and eventually a stream/river.
The first playstation game I played was crash team racer a crash bandicoot game that involved racing around a race track and 'blowing up' other racers to slow them and down win the race.

Besides little kiddy games that I don't remember, the first two games I have memory of playing (I don't remember which came first) are Sims 1 and Rollercoaster Tycoon. My Sims died often and I suck at building rollercoasters so I never won the Rollercoaster Tycoon challenges. They were on a PC but I forget exactly what year the PC was from.

First computer game I played was so not appropriate for a four/five year old.
After that, the first computer games I can recall playing would be games developed by a neighbor that was handed to me on a floppy disc.
The first online game I played was through the AOL — America Online — gated wall platform. I was very fond of the Solitaire game.

I love that quote — it’s so true! Frogger and Crash Team Racer bring back memories; those classics never get old. My first game was Prince of Persia on an old DOS computer — simple but unforgettable!

I had a Windows 96 as well and from memory, the first computer game I ever played was chess and a skiing game where you had to get down to the bottom of the hill before you got caught.
